Hilary Clinton for Secretary of State?

November 14, 2008

clinton-obama-hugeThe Obama camp is not confirming this is true, and even though Hilary Clinton did fly out to Chicago, her camp is saying that visit was personal and not related.  Given those two facts I can not say that any of this is true, wishful thinking or a trail balloon.

There’s increasing chatter in political circles that the Obama camp is not overly happy with the usual suspects for secretary of state these days and that the field might be expanding somewhat beyond Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), Gov. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.), Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and maybe former Democratic senator Sam Nunn of Georgia.

There’s talk, indeed, that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) may now be under consideration for the post. Her office referred any questions to the Obama transition; Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor declined to comment.

This report is coming from the Washington Post, NBC, ABC and CNN.  As I stated before President Obama nor Hilary Clinton is giving any validity to the statements.  However, we must admit that it is not often that any thing gets leaked from President Obama’s party.  But when Rahm was being considered that got leaked and turned out to be true.  I must admit that I have stated in the past that I believe Hilary would be offered some type of post in the new administration.

Enough said.

  1. it seems like, if Hillary becomes the Sec. State, then there will be some serious personality and agenda conflict between her and Obama
