Blago: No contact between Obama and Blagovich about successor

December 16, 2008

fbiEven though everybody that had a reasonable amount of intelligence got it that President Obama could not answer the conservative questions without approval of the FBI prosecutors, the conservative madness continues.

Just this morning I was listening to Morning Joe and poor Joe was practically rabid at the mouth.  The insinuations, of course are stupid, but rampant.  Just give the information President Obama.  Why?  Because the republicans say so.  Damn with legality.  Damn with correctness.  Damn with being innocent.  Hell, I started to draft a letter to President Obama for him to give an interview to Joe, just to shut him up and make him concentrate on real news.

Joe is worst than a homeless person that has lost his dog.  He can never move on and keep yelling about his lost dog.  Reminds me of Jon Stewart’s video of McCain roaming around during the second debate calling for his dog while saying he had sausages.

At the direction of the President-elect, a review of Transition staff contacts with Governor Blagojevich and his office has been conducted and completed and is ready for release.  That review affirmed the public statements of the President-elect that he had no contact with the governor or his staff, and that the President-elect’s staff was not involved in inappropriate discussions with the governor or his staff over the selection of his successor as US Senator.

Also at the President-elect’s direction, Gregory Graig, counsel to the Transition, has kept the US Attorney’s office informed of this fact-gathering process in order to ensure our full cooperation with the investigation.

In the course of those discussions, the US Attorney’s office requested the public release of the Transition review be deferred until the week of December 22, in order not to impede their investigation of the governor.  The Transition has agreed to this revised timetable for release.

Is there no other news to report?  Can we try Norm Coleman or Ex-leader Brunno?  Can we focus on the econmy?  Can we at least turn a page and make the news more than a week old?

  1. Obama is too smart to be caught up in this BS going on in Chicago. This rumor comes from the delerious kool aid sippers. It is another story that will crash as did the US citizenship attack.
