Talk about being sick and tired of Media BS!

December 22, 2008

s-rahm-largeI am just about ready to finally reach my limit on listening to the media’s BS over Blago.  This is the same set of abundantly silent reporters that remained mute during the Bush years.  Now while they are busy screaming that they will be more investigative while reporting on the new administration, they still remain painfully silent on the laws Bush is currently over turning.  WTF?

Should I assume that what they are really saying is that Bush will continue to get a pass while they push and promote BS under the guise of investigative reporting where President Obama is concerned?  This is not to say President Obama’s policies should not be investigated.  But their can arise  a situation where the investigation can come to a point of being no more than media generated scandal of a non-scandal.

Sources tell me [ABC News’ George Stephanopolous] that the Obama team’s review of contacts with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich will show that Rahm Emanuel had only one phone conversation with Blagojevich.

The sources add that the report will show Emanuel also had four phone calls with Blagojevich Chief of Staff John Harris. During those conversations, the Senate seat was discussed. The pros and cons of various candidates were reviewed, and the sources say that Emanuel repeatedly reminded Harris that Blagojevich should focus on the message the pick would send about the governor and his administration.

Although the media has toned it down regarding the so called non-connection of President Obama and Blago they still persist.  Take for example the article done by Isikoff for Newsweek entitle Subpoena Power:  Five Questions for Obama.  I am to the point I can easily say who cares what Isikoff wants while failing to report what is going on in the real world.  As a news seeker I am not appreciative of the effort of pushing a story that has no real basis in fact while their still remains an icy silence towards a real criminal who currently reside in the White House.

This media outcry for President Obama to have transparency since to be a single edge sword.  I see no outcries for the Bush administration to explain what he is currently doing or why he is busy trying to rewrite history (that’s a joke).  Nope, far as the media is concerned Bush is a lame duck not deserving of their attention.  That would be true if Bush was not rambo duck destroying laws that protect us and endangered species.  Much less the fact that Bush is sadly and sorrily silent over our economic woes.

It was declared by the likes of Mark Halperin that the media was a bunch of left leaning liberals who should be ashamed of themselves for not digging into the truth of President Obama history.  Since the media is now supposedly trying to do a better job of reporting the news (the Balgo non-connection as their primary example) why can’t we hear any investigative reporting concerning Bush?

So much for that liberal leaning left BS.  There is nothing indicative, outside of showing that some reporters are sore losers over President Obama winning the election, that the media is a bunch of liberals.   The sheer fact that the media spends countless hours promoting the same GOP BS as the GOP does give a person a reason to pause over that whole concept.

Where was the objective (or left leaning bias) when it was propurted that the auto worker made $70 an hour?  Where was the objective reporting when you had the GOP trashing the American worker?

It is becoming a common place habit to listen to the news with a tint of GOP bias.  when do we finally graduate to the point that news reporters just tell the news?  Having debates over lies serves no purpose.  These are trouble times we are living in and we do not need the media to transfer investigative reporting onto the guy who is not even in the white house.  Is it too much to ask if we can get a little more news about the jerk that’s still in the driver seat?

Not enough said about this subject.
