Nothing Like Our TARP $ in Action

January 27, 2009

citigroup-jetIt’s being widely reported that our TARP dollars ($45 Billion) are keeping Citigroup smiling.  Citigroup is about to purchase a $50 million private corporate jet.  I’m just loving the smell of bullshit.

Can it get any better than this?  While our ex-fearless leader, Bush, decided to in-debt us, our children, our children’s children and so on and so on, we get to sit back and watch how well those that have received our money continue to live with the finer things in life.  WTF?

Even though the bank’s stock is as cheap as a gallon of gas and it’s burning through a $45 billion taxpayer-funded rescue, the airhead execs pushed through the purchase of a new Dassault Falcon 7X, according to a source familiar with the deal.

The French-made luxury jet seats up to 12 in a plush interior with leather seats, sofas and a customizable entertainment center, according to Dassault’s sales literature. It can cruise 5,950 miles before refueling and has a top speed of 559 mph.

There’s nothing like being a banker now is there.  I’m amazed we didn’t see them dancing naked in the street when they got the TARP.  No…wait…they probably went on a junket.  Nothing is more stupid than the American people that allowed Bush and company to talk us into this nightmare.

Fortunately, there is a God and the time of nonsense is over, thank you for President Obama.  Jeez, the whole world must be laughing at our ignorance.
