These People are So Tired

January 31, 2009

obama_shown_jacket-free_in_the_oval_officeNow we have ex-White House Chief of Staff, Andrew Card stating that President Obama shows a lack of respect by dressing casually in the White House.

I found that Ronald Reagan and both President Bushes treated the Oval Office with tremendous respect. They treated the Office of the Presidency with tremendous respect. And some of that respect was reflected in how they expected people to behave, how they expected them to dress when they walked into the symbol of freedom for the world, the Oval Office. And yes, I’m disappointed to see the casual, laissez faire, short sleeves, no shirt and tie, no jacket, kind of locker room experience that seems to be taking place in this White House and the Oval Office.

I guess I would give this some credence if Card hadn’t work for the guy, Bush, that believed in formal dress but didn’t give a shit about the America people.

I really don’t give care how President Obama dresses in the White House because obviously how you dress is no indicator on how you govern, as Bush so successfully demonstrated.

Jeez, these people are going to be spilling bull shit for the next 4 years?  After spending a week listening to the republicans whine over the stimulus bill (which no doubt have more consideration for people then businesses), keep cultural wars alive — abortion — and talk about a White House dress code, I can easily conclude that republicans are fucking clueless when it comes to the American people.

We don’t want to hear about this crap.  We want action, not whining.  The only people giving a shit about how the president dresses in the white house is a bunch of loser (or can’t think of anything else wing nuts) who are obviously trapped in a time tunnel of yesterday’s pageantry versus living in the 21st century.

Republicans go do the world a favor and grow a spine before you open your mouths.

  1. So in their minds the way someone dresses in the Oval office is way more important than how someone runs the country?

I don’t care if Obama shows up in his undies which will never happen, but I rather their focus be on the way he runs the country. And by only being in office for 2 weeks or less Obama has already beaten Bush’s ass in that contest.

But you know girl this is just them trying do a back handed way of saying Obama is bring down the White House (or its image) by using his attire instead of what they really want to use (i.e his skin tone) because you know if they did that that would definitely that people know they are racists.

They don’t care that Obama doesn’t wear a jacket during the week or on weekends he wears a sweater over a shirt instead of a suit. This is just another way to spew their bigotry.

  2. meant to say “but I rather their focus be on the way he runs the country than the dress code in Oval office”.

Also Obama has to take off his jacket and roll up his sleeves to clean up the mess that Bush left behind. lol

  3. I missed you girl. I am so happy to hear your wonderful twisted way of seeing nothing but the truth.

  4. Just call me Twisted Sista. he he

Yea I’ve been under the weather….well I’m still am, but between work, going to school, AND being sick I just don’t have the strength to even turn on the computer.

But you know I have to stop by your site when I am free. Girl you be cracking your whip at these loons and it’s so entertaining. lol

  5. Well, clothes do make the man. Unfortunately, as in the case of Bush & Co., they don’t make the man a good President.

You’ve hit it on the head. The Bush crowd is so completely devoid of ideas, rational thought, and connection with reality that this is all they have left.

They’re like compulsive gamblers who keep slamming chips down on the same number thinking “this time it’ll hit”. Pathetic.

  6. Sista, Obama should be wearing hip waders and a BL-4 hazmat suit to clean up the toxic sludge left by the Bush crowd.

  7. I’m glad to see you back. You definitely get missed when you’re gone. I’m glad to know you are doing better.

  8. Bush and company was so busy living in fantasy land that they really thought wearing Brooke Brothers was the equivalent of a job well done. In fact they still think like that. That’s why the’re still slamming down those chips on that same number waiting for the historians to absolve them of this Bush made mess.
